
Recent research has shown that one in ten UK adults (10%) are feeling hopeless at present due to the current cost of living crisis, with financial circumstances generating anxiety in 34% of people, and stress in 29% over the past month,
The UK’s Mental Health Foundation has asked for government action to support those individuals at a higher risk of mental health issues, in order to prevent some of the worrying problems we may face. There has been a significant rise in mental health problems, without adequate support.
The survey of 3000 adults over 18 years old was conducted by Opinium between 7th-14th November. Main concerns faced by individuals include being unable to maintain their usual standard of living (71%), heating their homes and paying general monthly household bills (61%.)
